The Raymond James Supplier Diversity Program
Raymond James believes in diversity in all areas; that includes our supplier partners.
Our Supplier Diversity Program is an extension of our firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion and helps ensure we collaborate with diverse suppliers in purchasing and sourcing initiatives. Not only does supplier diversity strengthen our firm’s position in the marketplace, it also enhances our ability to champion small businesses and support the communities in which we live and work.
Through the program, we seek to include at least one diverse supplier in every competitive bidding event. We strive to establish relationships with certified disadvantaged business enterprises, including, but not limited to:
- Minority business enterprises
- Women business enterprises
- LGBT+ business enterprises
- Disability-owned business enterprises
- Veteran-owned business enterprises
- Service-disabled veteran business enterprises
Creating business opportunities for diverse suppliers
Raymond James believes that the success of our firm and society depends on enabling diverse suppliers to share in our nation’s economic growth. To help ensure we do our part, our Supplier Diversity Program thoroughly tracks purchases from minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned and LGBT-owned businesses as well as disabled business enterprises and small disadvantaged businesses. In addition, we have implemented higher levels of competitive bidding, which is the most effective way to increase spending with diverse suppliers.
Diverse suppliers seeking to partner with Raymond James
As a corporate member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, Raymond James references these databases to search for companies that can provide the products and services we need. NMSDC, for instance, includes enterprises owned by LGBT+, disabled and veteran entrepreneurs, among others. If you are a certified diverse supplier interested in doing business with our firm, please make sure you’re listed in one of these databases.
Supplier Code of Conduct
We not only hold our associates and advisors to a high ethical standard, but also the vendors we conduct business with. We expect our suppliers, their contractors and subcontractors to abide by labor laws and regulations in the locations where they conduct business, including those that address child labor, forced labor, slavery, human trafficking, equal pay and nondiscrimination in their workforces.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct, which reinforces the importance of protecting and preserving human rights around the world, forms a key part of our dedication to corporate responsibility.
