Sonya Dekhtyar joined Raymond James in 2025 as a vice president in the Commercial & Industrial Services group within the Diversified Industrials practice. Before Raymond James, Sonya was a manager of structured finance at RWE Clean Energy, where she led tax equity transactions to secure investor funding for utility-scale solar, storage and wind projects. Prior to that, Sonya was an associate at William Blair, where she helped complete nearly 15 mergers and acquisitions in the industrials and cleantech spaces. Sonya began her career at the Chicago Transit Authority, where she managed a wide range of capital and service improvement projects. Sonya received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago and her Master of Business Administration from the Booth School of Business.
